Successful week

School vacation week is coming to a close:)

The good news- My kids ate everything in the house so I couldn't eat bad with them- there was nothing left.

At one point in the week, I had 9 children at my house,(some of which I didn't even know their names) All eating my snacks! Kid you not, I probably spent $400.00 in groceries over a 5 day period!

For people that love trivia:

Top recited phrases of this past April Vacation:

1. "Can I have a snack"

2. " We are bored"

3. "Where are you taking us for fun today" (no imagination these days)

4. "Can (so and so) come over, sleep over, or play"

5. " Can you drive us here_______ "(insert the furthest place you can imagine, yet still being "on cape")

I have repented for my very bad prior weekend eating.

This week I was perfect-good food, good gym time.

The rub

It's the weekend again!

Give me the strength to avoid bad eating and set backs this time!

My body cannot physically endure another week of abuse to make up for bad eating...

The old saying " A minute on the lips is a lifetime on the hips", so true, and it is the saying repeating in the back of my brain-constantly!

Rough weekend

Friday's weigh in went well and I lost another 4.5 lbs (Yay me)
Susan lost 3! I am calling for a urine specimen to see if she is on performance enhancement drugs!

There is NO way you can eat mudpie on Wednesday and still lose 3 lbs in a week!

So Dan my fantastic co host says "yes you can" you have to shock the body. Eating bad once and a while will trick your body and you will lose more

Oh I "shocked the body" alright!

Saturday I threw a surprise Bridal shower for my cousin Heather at the Dunbar Tea Shop in Sandwich- There were scones, tea sandwiches (cream cheese), brownies, cakes, squares, cupcakes...and more. I did not miss an opportunity to taste, eat, and try at least a bite of all there was to offer!
Even doing spin class that morning couldn't have burned an 1/8th of what I ingested at this party...
Hope I shocked on the good side?!

The defeating scale moment

I like Susan am dreading that damn scale! I feel good, and I am edging ever so close to that line of single digit sizes! (so excited!)
However- I am losing the luster of big weekly weight drops, and it is becoming harder and harder to lose even an ounce!
I find it really demotivating to work hard all week long, and see few results in terms of pounds.
I am looking forward to seeing the measurements and body fat content because that is where it really counts!

Crunchy body

I swear I have osteoporosis or something. I was doing remedial abs with my fantastic trainer Heather Crosby at the CCFC, (apparently I did a poor job the day before at bootcamp), My hips were clicking, by legs were popping, and my back began to spasm. I trucked on and finished my workout. Later at home my stepson Ty asked if we could go play catch outside, "sure" I replied thinking I could get a little more movement for the day. I actually got a good running around session. Later in the evening it was off to volleyball.

Today I am officially "Frankenstein". I can't bend and I am walking around like a zombie. Every muscle, and bone hurts!

Even my skin aches if that is possible.

This "being active" thing is for the birds- please tell me it gets easier!

Not the best Easter ever...

Kind of bummed that my streak of winning at the scale came to end on Friday. Susan beat my loss by a pound. That's okay because I am still winning the scale wars overall. I was feeling low at any rate. Then came Easter Sunday...my will is strong, but not that strong!
Too many kids, too much candy!
I caved!
I had a few bites of a Lindt chocolate bunny...then a couple of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies...then I felt so guilty. (They were so delicious btw)
I drank water and protein powder for dinner!

Goal for the week-

Eat perfect, no excuses

Congrats to Susan who had a fantastic weigh in on Friday.
You have started a new fire, so watch out for our next weigh in...I really hate to lose.

Lord give me strength

I am faced with many challenges in the next coming weeks!

First off- this week I had a meeting with the ballet moms and I was able to restrain myself from the many temptations i.e. potato chips, dips, and other snackables...

Second- A business after hours coming tomorrow with lots of booze and good food!

Third- Easter!!!!! My favorite Candy of the whole year

Fourth and Last- School Vacation= Diet disaster! ( No happy meals for me) ( Trying to get to the gym with 5 kids at home who are bored!!!)

Mind over Body

It has been roughly 6 weeks since this whole fitness competition began.

These are the things that I am sure of:

I have lost around 15lbs

The workout that equals a cupcake isn't worth the cupcake!

I feel much more energized mentally

Physically I feel as if I have been hit by a bus...

I am cracking...

My competitor Susan was in the gym yesterday doing double sessions...
Me being the lunatic that I am felt the need to do more now because she is.

I barely made it through the one workout at noon, still being sore from Beach Body Deathcamp put on by the Crosby's at Cape Cod Fitness Center.

I decided to play Volleyball with my adult league in Mashpee. I have been blowing it off for the last month because I have been working out so much that I am too tired by 7pm to do anything.

Bigggg Mistakeeeeee

The 1 hour in I felt great- running, jumping, hitting it was invigorating

Hour 2 did not go as well.

By the end I swear my muscles were seizing!

I needed help from my husband to get ready for bed.

I don't think I have been this sore in Years!!!!

Today I look like I rode a horse into work that is how crippled I am...can I make it to spin today...I don't know

Smell This

A recent study proved that the scent of vanilla significantly decreased a sweet tooth!

I am sorry, but I could huff Vanilla 24/7 and still want a chocolate bar-these studies are bunk!!!
